The lightscoop. If you have a DSLR, you have to get one. I got it on sale for $20.00 from adorama. This picture was taken in the bathroom with the pop up flash on my camera and the lightscoop.

Bandit the Troublemaker

Bandit is my little sisters kitten. I nicknamed him trouble because he fell down some stairs and broke his hip, bless his heart and his mommy's wallet. As you can see, he has recovered 100%. Bandit, you are one handsome dude.

It's been a busy week with lots of new things going on. The most immediate is a rally to win a photo contest for a great rescue I volunteer for. Voting starts tonight at midnight and I would be forever grateful to everyone that wouldn't mind taking a few minutes to register and vote for my cat, Leo. You have seen his handsomeness many times in my 3.6.5.'s and we have a chance to win $10,000 for the rescue organization that saved him.

I had taken no pictures until after dark but I had just purchased a light set and needed to learn. I took many many pictures that night so I wasn't shooting for creativity, but more for learning purposes. However, the very last shot of the night was my favorite. It happens like that a lot with me. I will have a really frustrating session and when it comes to down to the one I like, the very last picture always seems to win out. Weird.



The cats got in on the learning action as well, lol!

Leo and Rajah love each other, but don't really cuddle much. They like to play and never fight but their together moments can be few and far between. Today I caught a couple minutes of love.

I have one last "top ten" I would like to share and that would be of my Family.

10. My sweet girl, up close and personal, chapped lips and all. :)

7. One of my favorite spots in PA. Sam Lewis State park, up high on a hill overlooking the mighty Susquehanna River.

5. My Rajah boy. I have so many wonderful pictures of him, but this is my favorite because it captures his personality as well as his beauty.

2. Cali and Rajah have always had a special bond. This picture is literally the very first moment they met and was very much in the running for my favorite family capture of 2009.



1. Narrowly sliding in at number one is no surprise since it's currently my blog header! This is Cali and her Daddy at her 6th birthday party and in my opinion one of the best pictures I have taken with my dslr. :)
